If you’re planning a weekend in the Lake District during the months of April or October, taking a rail trip is a great idea after that a cruise on the lake. You get the opportunity to appreciate a picturesque drive from Lake Windermere to Waterhead. Explore the beautiful Hawkshead town, where William Wordsworth once studied. Visit the Hill Top, an old farmhouse possessed by Beatrix Potter and which most of his stories were based on. If your weekend in the Lake District falls around winter, visit the Bowness, the Hill Top, and get a tasty creamy tea at Rydal Mount and Gardens.
Lake District Road Trip
A road trip in the great idea of things do on a weekend getaway in the Lake Region. Its breezy streets, excellent landscape, and enterprises to be had around each twist. It is also famous for its lofty mountain streets and restricted passes. The Kirkstone amongst Penrith and Windermere is one street to drive through. Drive by the Ullswater lake, breath in the natural air and take a few pictures. The pass is settled underneath the Baystones slope, and on its extremely top, you get incredible perspectives of the Ullswater and Windermere.
A Hike of the Loughrigg Fell
Climbing up the Loughrigg Fell from the White Moss turned out to be a perfect adventure. Pass by the Rydal Cave in which provide amazing perspectives over the valley. You could go in for a few pictures as well. It might be stressful getting to the top, but rest assured it will be very rewarding. It may be distressing getting to the best, however, rest guaranteed it will be extremely fulfilling. At the top, enjoy the fantastic lake views and beautiful surrounding landscape. When you’re done, descend through the steep sideways leading to Grasmere and take a stroll through the woodlands for more adventures in the wild.
